Most shipping companies carry on the tradition of having their colors and/or emblems painted on the ship's stack even though in many cases the stacks are nonfunctional. I enjoy the colors and emblems as well as pennants and the like so here are what I have been able to photograph.

Here is at least one photo of every passenger and cruise ship I have seen since I started taking photographs with a digital camera a few years ago. I am not a fan of the current generation of cruise ships so this chapter will not be a long one. However, if a cruise ship passes across my bow it will be photographed.

This is a work in progress so please check back from time to time.

MERCHANT SHIPS

UNDER CONSTRUCTION -- THIS WILL TAKE A WHILE!

Here is at least one photo of every salt water merchant ship I have photographed -- since I have been using a digital camera for only a few years and since I live near the middle of the United States far from the world's oceans, the number of ships is not large. I am listing ships alphabetical regardless of type of ship (tanker, bulker, auto carrier and so on).

I am not a data freak so I am not putting much in the way of data with the photo. You can look it up in the appropriate references or ask me.

This is a work in progress so keep checking back.
